Welcome to The Valley

Everything you need to know, right here.

Check out all the resources, activities, and updates to help you prepare for the upcoming academic year at The Valley.

It is our hope that you will achieve success through the many offerings that LVC puts in place to help you attain your goals.

Move-in and Welcome Week

The Class of 2029 and incoming transfer students will arrive on campus Thursday, Aug. 21. If you are a residential student, check in at North Campus, Parking Lot A (see PDF map).

New student commuters will check in Thursday, Aug. 21, between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. Park in one of the North Campus lots, then walk to the Mund College Center (see PDF map).

We’ll have activities to help you connect with and learn about the LVC community and its resources. First-Year Mentors will provide key information, mentoring, and guidance. See the full orientation schedule.

Kick off the semester at Welcome Week during the first week of classes. There will be something for everyone including prizes and giveaways for attendees. View the full lineup of events, including the Welcome Back Social.

Students arriving early for athletics, marching band, or other activities will receive an email from Residence Life about key pickup.

Students moving in on Thursday, Aug. 21, will pick up room keys during their move-in time upon check-in at North Campus Red Lot A.

Returning students who are moving in on August 23–24 will pick up their keys in the Center for Student Engagement (8 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days) and at Campus Safety if they arrive after 4 p.m.

Parking, Campus Jobs, Weather Delays, Dining, and Mail

All students must register their vehicles using an online process found in MyLVC (register here beginning August 1). Parking stickers/decals can be picked up at the Campus Safety Office after registration is complete. Please park your vehicles in your assigned areas upon coming to campus.

All visitors parking on LVC property are required to display a visitor pass which can be obtained free of charge from the Campus Safety Office.

Off-Campus Parking Decals (students living in Annville)

Annville Township Police requires all students who are authorized by LVC to live-off campus to register their vehicles with the Office of Campus Safety before September 1. A teal-colored decal will allow students who live in Annville to park within the township.

While on campus, off-campus registrants need to use Commuter Parking areas.

Special Parking Privileges for Student Teachers and Interns

Students who require travel as part of their educational experience and wish to receive this parking privilege must request a numbered parking placard from the Office of Campus Safety.

Omnilert is a free download for your smartphone LVC students and employees to receive push notifications about emergencies and inclement weather procedures. Search “Omnilert” in your App store and register. Omnilert has an emergency button and can let emergency responders find your exact location when location services are enabled. Click here to enroll.

As a reminder, you will find all on-campus student employment positions posted through Handshake. Handshake is our platform for you to schedule career coaching appointments, register for events and fairs, search for jobs and internships off campus, and find all on-campus student employment.
