To find resources to help you with research, search the library’s collection of online research guides, or LibGuides. LibGuides are multimedia guides created by LVC librarians to provide research assistance, library instruction, subject or class specific information. Type in your search keyword(s) or browse a list of research guides by topic or subject area.

Easily discover all types of Bishop Library resources with Primo. Search for books, e-books, movies, music, articles, full-text journals, open access content, and content from many of LVC’s databases.

Fall 2020 Information

Access to the library for the Fall 2020 semester is limited to active LVC faculty, staff, and students. Masks are required, and all campus-wide policies apply. Seating and some services have been reconfigured and relocated to promote physical distancing. Library directional signage will assist with traffic flow. Occupancy will be limited in certain areas such as study rooms and Bishop Brews. Increased sanitizing and cleaning protocols are in place.

Fall 2020 Hours

Sun., noon–10 p.m.; Mon.–Wed., 7:30 a.m.–10 p.m., Thurs. 7:30 a.m.–9 p.m.; Fri., 7:30 a.m.–7 p.m.; Sat., 10 a.m.–5 p.m.

Please be aware of these changes:

  • Food and beverages can ONLY be consumed in the booth area outside the coffee shop and NOT in study rooms or throughout the building.  One person per booth (remove mask and replace after eating or drinking).  Note: Bishop Brews is open. Check the coffee shop website for hours and details. 
  • White board and markers will NOT circulate this semester due to the high touch nature of these items.

  • Need more in-depth help?  Schedule an appointment to meet in-person or virtually with a librarian.  Book a Librarian.
  • Curbside (outside the library) or Quick Pick-Up (inside the library) is available.  Hours by appointment.  Questions?  Email or
  • Return items in the book drop located at the library's main entrance.
  • Returned items will be quarantined for three days before check-in.  No late fees will be charged during that time.
  • Interlibrary Loan requests may be placed for physical and electronic materials.   Be aware that many libraries are not lending physical materials or have limited hours and these issues cause delays.  Questions?  Email
