ASPIRE

ASPIRE is LVC’s customer service excellence program. LVC employees commit to providing legendary service to our customers, which include our students, their families, alumni, community members and our colleagues. This program began in 2023, initiated by President MacLaren as a strategy to increase the sense of belonging in our community and distinguish the LVC experience.

By creating enjoyable and satisfying experiences and removing obstacles and pain points, all members of our community will feel more welcomed, valued, and satisfied—and through word-of-mouth, they’ll pass along the strengths of LVC. 

LVC employees: 

  • Provide enjoyable and satisfying LVC experiences 
  • Remove obstacles and detractors 
  • Provide “Wow” moments—always adding a little extra help or delight  
  • Collaborate with customers if a service “miss” occurs

Service Standards

Employees are accountable through their job descriptions and annual reviews, and in their everyday work, to act according to the ASPIRE Service Standards: 

  • Accountable—We hold ourselves and each other accountable to the mission, vision, and values of Lebanon Valley College. 
  • Student-Centered—We place students at the center of every decision we make. 
  • Professional—Treat others the way they want to be treated. We act with competence, courtesy, and skill. 
  • Inclusive—We treat every member and visitor of our campus with dignity and respect. We want all our students and colleagues to feel a sincere sense of belonging when they walk on our campus and in every interaction. 
  • Respectful—We care about each other’s abilities and worth and treat each other with kindness and respect. We respect others’ opinions and feelings even if we don’t agree with them.    
  • Empowered—We have the authority to facilitate solutions to enhance the LVC customer experience.
