Dublin is Ireland’s lively capital with a well-connected transportation system to explore the city and country’s rich history and culture. Ireland was recently ranked with the third highest quality of life in the world and the happiest international student community in Europe. Short travels outside of Dublin allow you to hike, explore historic castles or visit the coast. Transportation around Ireland, the United Kingdom, and continental Europe is made easy with one major airport, as well as extensive bus and rail systems.

Program Details

Students live in single-room dorms and share kitchen and living areas with other students. Students are responsible for preparing their own meals.

At DCU, LVC students will enroll in 4-5 courses, worth 3 credits each, for a total of 12-15 credits earned during the semester. A combination of major, minor and general education classes can be taken. Health profession courses are offered. View course listings.

Financial Aid Policy

Most LVC Students will receive their financial aid in full for all semester-long study abroad and study away programs. Allwein scholars will receive 50% of their full-tuition scholarship for semester-long study abroad and study away programs. The $2,500/year Allwein stipend may be used to supplement the reduction in scholarship. Tuition Exchange and Tuition Remission recipients will receive the value of the Mary A. Weiss Scholarship for semester-long study abroad programs. The value will be the equivalent to the value awarded to the same year’s incoming class. Additional LVC study abroad scholarship funding, based on eligibility, is available for this program.

Spring Semester

  • Applications should be received by October 1
  • $25 deposit is due with application*
  • Accepted students will owe a $175 program deposit by the application deadline*
  • Packet of forms is due by November 15
  • Approximately 12-15 credits

Students of any major in good social and academic standing (minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA) may apply.

There is a mandatory set of pre-departure orientations at Lebanon Valley College for all students planning to participate in the program. Students also attend an on-site orientation at Dublin City University upon arrival.
