Student Philanthropy

Connecting with students prior to graduation is an essential part of building a lifelong relationship between alumni and Lebanon Valley College. Student philanthropy educates students on the importance of financially supporting the College—both as students and alumni.

Did you know that tuition only covers approximately 85% of a Lebanon Valley College education? Generous gifts from alumni, parents, and friends of the College help cover the remaining costs. Each year, many alumni, parents, and friends contribute to Lebanon Valley College, helping make an LVC education accessible and affordable. LVC is made possible through the support of individuals who believe in our students and the transformative educational experience at The Valley.

For the students of LVC, this relationship begins long before graduation.

Senior Class Gift

Gifts provided by current seniors will allow future Dutchmen to enjoy the full Lebanon Valley College experience that made your journey so memorable. Donations to your passion (The Valley Fund, Scholarships & Financial Aid, Specific Academic Departments, Sports Teams, etc.) in the form of cash, check (made out to Lebanon Valley College) or credit cards are accepted. Seniors can fill out a donation form at various events or request one from a member of the Senior Gift Drive Committee. You can also visit Evelyn Colon, culture of philanthropy and engagement specialist, in Laughlin Hall to pick up a donation form and make a gift. You may also make a gift online.

Valley Blue Coats

Valley Blue Coats interact with and steward Lebanon Valley College donors and alumni at various events throughout the year, including the Thomas Rhys Vickroy Society dinner and Homecoming. In addition, Valley Blue Coats are dedicated to increasing philanthropic awareness among the student body. This elite group of students has personally benefited from gifts to The Valley Fund, and they work to share their passion for giving with the Lebanon Valley College family.
