Applying for Financial Aid
We know applying for financial aid can seem like a complicated process, but we’re here to assist you every step of the way. On this page, you’ll find all the information you need to file the FAFSA, meet deadlines, and make sure you get the most aid possible to make your LVC dreams a reality.
Applying for Aid
To be considered for need-based financial aid at Lebanon Valley College, complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) and list Lebanon Valley College as one of your choices.
If you are enrolling for the academic year starting Summer 2026, Fall 2026, and Spring 2027, file the 2026–27 FAFSA, which is currently available at www.studentaid.gov.
Steps for filing the FAFSA:
- You and one parent apply for a Federal Student Aid (FSA) ID here. This is your electronic signature, allowing you and your parent to sign and submit the FAFSA electronically. We recommend applying for it three days prior to filing the FAFSA.
- File the FAFSA here. Remember: this is a FREE form so you should never pay to complete it. LVC’s federal school code is 003288. Review the FAFSA Tip Sheet for helpful information.
What to know about filing for aid:
- Undergraduate Pennsylvania residents filing the FAFSA on or before May 1 are automatically considered for a state grant. Residents of other states should contact their state grant agency for procedures to determine eligibility.
- Students whose FAFSA is selected by the federal government or the institution to undergo an additional process called Verification will be asked to complete additional paperwork (refer to LVC’s Verification Policy here).
- Assets are reported on the FAFSA as of the day that you file the FAFSA. No changes should be made unless the original amount reported was in error. If this is the case, contact the Financial Aid Office for instructions on how to get any errors updated.
- If you enroll in a program of study abroad approved for credit by LVC (the home institution), you may be considered enrolled at LVC for the purpose of applying for federal financial aid.
- Students who are considered dependent must include parent information unless the student answered “yes” to any question in the Dependency Status Section of our Financial Aid page.
Who should complete the 2026–27 Summer Financial Aid Application?
Students applying for financial aid who are:
- Part-time undergraduate students enrolled for summer
- Graduate students enrolled for summer
- Traditional full-time undergraduate students taking classes during the summer semester
The application is available on MyLVC under MyINFO for Students > Financial Aid Forms and Resources. The deadline to apply for summer aid is Monday, August 10, 2026.
In addition, you must file the 2026-2027 FAFSA and complete Verification, if selected, to receive financial aid for Summer 2026. The FAFSA can be filed at studentaid.gov
Summer is a separate term and billed separately from fall and spring. Summer charges must be paid by the due date listed on your summer statement of account from the Business Office. The total number of credits you are taking throughout the summer are added together to determine if you are a full-time or part-time student for the purpose of billing and financial aid eligibility. If you are taking 12 credits as an undergraduate student, you will be charged the full-time tuition rate.
- Winter is billed separately from the fall and spring semesters.
- Students may enroll for no more than one course during this term.
- Students enrolled in the winter term may be eligible for limited financial aid. There are no LVC grants and scholarships for this term.
- The instructions and application are available in MyLVC under MyINFO for Students > Financial Aid Forms. The deadline to apply is January 5, 2026.
