Lebanon Valley College to Host a Dozen Events to Recognize Earth Days

LVC’s Environmental Sustainability Advisory Committee will celebrate Earth Day’s 56th anniversary throughout April.

LVC’s Environmental Sustainability Advisory Committee (ESAC), comprised of faculty, staff, and students, created a slate of events to focus on Reducing, Reusing, and Recycling. ESAC student members include Ryan Berner ’27 (Environmental Science), President of the Environmental Club, Caleb Sikalis ’26 (Neuroscience), Student Government Sustainability Liaison, and Alyson Sager ’27 (Political Science and Social Justice & Civic Engagement), greenLVC Community Engagement Coordinator.

Students will discuss their internships and research with the Greater Lebanon Refuse Authority, Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection, Susquehanna River Basin, and the North Lake Discovery Center in Wisconsin. Other sessions will focus on the impact food systems have on climate change, biodiversity, and clean water, and many others.
