Special Interest Groups

American Sign Language Club

ASL Club was founded to further LVC’s understanding and awareness of ASL and the Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing community. At its founding, there was no ASL class available to students at the institution. However, a class is now offered! Previous club events included a Deaf and Hard of Hearing Awareness Week which included speakers from Gallaudet University, ASL interpreters, and a Sign and Dine event. The club is open to any student from any major interested in learning more about ASL and increasing awareness of the language.

 

Anime Society

The Anime Society is an organization dedicated to promoting Anime (Japanese animation), which is known throughout the world for both its thematic and technical sophistication. Its primary activity is hosting showings of various Anime series and films for the relaxation and socialization of the campus community.

 

Auggie’s Project

Auggie’s Project club is a community service-based club providing resources, raising awareness, and donating time to shelter animals. Our club works with local shelters and Humane Societies to provide time and donations. We are a low-commitment club open to all Lebanon Valley students! 

 

Board Game Club

The Board Game Club was created with the intention of bringing together people who share an interest in board games. This allows people to have an environment to share their games or learn new ones. It also gives people the opportunity to make new friends and decompress after a long week.

 

Chess Club

The Chess Club welcomes players of all skill levels to enjoy friendly competition, improve their game, and participate in regular meetings and tournaments. Members can learn strategies, practice together, and connect with fellow chess enthusiasts on campus. 

 

Coffee Club

Coffee Club is open to all students on campus. The club brings students together over a mutual love of coffee. The club’s activities include going to local coffee shops, serving coffee to students at on-campus events, hosting study jams, and collaborating with other on-campus organizations.

 

College Conservatives Club

Open to all members of the student body, The College Conservatives Club promotes traditional American values in politics and everyday life. Activities range greatly from bringing in political speakers to hosting movie nights. The College Conservatives enjoy cohosting events with other clubs and groups. We would love to see you at our next event!

 

Corporate Finance Club

The purpose of the Corporate Finance Club is to inspire interest in finance, offer guidance and direction, and provide both educational and career opportunities. We offer free access to premium online learning resources like DataCamp, connect students with professionals, and bridge the gap between classrooms studies and real-world application. 

 

Culinary Club

LVC’s Culinary Club is a fun-loving group of students who enjoy sharing time, recipes, and of course, FOOD! The members combine their knowledge and love of cooking/baking at fundraisers, service events, and casual get-togethers. No experience necessary!

The Hidden Opponent

This club, part of a national organization, prioritizes mental health for student-athletes by hosting speakers and events on campus. This club is open to any student, especially current and former student-athletes.

 

Outdoors Club

The LVC Outdoors Club provides students with opportunities to participate in different activities. Day trips include hiking, kayaking, and rock climbing. Each semester there is an overnight camping trip where students have different options for activities based on their interests. Joining the club is a great way to meet other people who enjoy being active in the outdoors. The club holds meetings as needed, typically once a month.

 

Photography Club

The Photography Club is a space for creativity and learning through photo booths at events, photo field trips, and interactive workshops. The club is open to students of all photography skill levels. Whether you’re a novice or an experienced shutterbug, our club provides a supportive space to hone your photography skills, express your creativity, and connect with fellow enthusiasts, making each click a memorable experience.

Spikeball Club

The LVC Spikeball Club is open to all students and all skill levels. This club provides its members with the opportunity to learn, play, and enjoy the rapidly growing sport of Spikeball. Club meetings generally consist of casual games, competitive tournaments, and opportunities to connect with fellow members. This club is a great way to stay active and meet new people! 

 

Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC)

The Student-Athlete Advisory Committee at Lebanon Valley College is a dynamic group of student-athlete team leaders who, by working together, develop and strengthen a sense of personal responsibility and wellness among student-athletes, the administration, and the community. SAAC members serve as student-athlete mentors for their team in regard to student-athlete affairs.

 

Student Programming Board

The Student Programming Board (SPB) is a student organization dedicated to planning and hosting many of LVC’s favorite events. From campus-wide traditions such as Fall Fest, Jingle Jam, and ValleyFest, to monthly favorites like Patio Jams and Game Shows, SPB provides a wide range of opportunities for students to make connections and have fun! In addition, SPB offers collaboration events with other student-led clubs, hosts bus trips, and brings exciting entertainment to campus, including magicians, comedians, and more!

 

Twirling Club

The LVC Twirling Club provides students the opportunity to start or continue their passion for baton twirling. The team performs at least once a semester and practices are held one to two times a week based on the schedule of the season’s members. No prior experience is necessary, everyone is welcome!
