Wig and Buckle Auditions for Something Rotten!
Something Rotten! auditions are Saturday, Sept. 7, starting at 10:30 a.m. in Leedy Theater. Please make sure to wear comfortable clothes and shoes as we will be starting with a dance call. Everyone who plans on auditioning must be at the dance call. We will then have vocal auditions starting at 3 p.m. Everyone must sign up for a time slot by 12 p.m. on September 7. Following the vocal auditions, we will have callbacks at 7 p.m., and those receiving a call back will be informed by email after vocal auditions. The cast list will be posted on Sunday, Sept. 8 at 8 a.m. If you plan on auditioning, please pick up the audition packet outside of Leedy Theater inside the Mund College Center.
Audition Instructions
- Sign up for a Vocal Audition time slot.
- Only sign up for one time.
- On the day of the audition, please arrive at least 10 minutes before your scheduled time.
- Prepare one song at the back of the audition packet; it does not need to be memorized
- Fill out the Audition Form to the best of your ability.
- Please include ALL recurring conflicts so that we can schedule.
- If you have any questions, contact the director Melissa West at maw008@lvc.edu.
- Pick up the Audition Materials and Information packet outside Leedy Theater.
- The packet is on the clear shelves to the right of the box office window and has more information about auditions, rehearsals, and the show.
- There are multiple options for your vocal selection; pick the piece related to the character you are auditioning for or the piece that suits your voice the most!
- We will be using backing tracks for auditions. Check out the playlist with all the songs so you can practice with the audition track.
