Presenter: Jake Stehman ’12, Talent Acquisition Manager, People Operations at RKL

Jake Stehman is a 2012 graduate of Lebanon Valley College, where he earned his degree in Business Administration. He began his college career at Drexel University as an Accounting major before transferring to Lebanon Valley College during his sophomore year. Through his internship experience and a part-time sales-floor role at Target, Jake discovered an interest in people, business, and connecting professionals with meaningful career opportunities.

After graduation, Jake entered the corporate recruiting field with Robert Half, a Fortune 500 professional-services company. He specialized in placing professional-services candidates and advanced into a leadership role supporting executive and permanent-placement recruiting across Eastern and Central Pennsylvania.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Jake shifted his focus to the nonprofit sector, joining Vista Autism Services to help build its Talent Acquisition and Onboarding team. He now serves as Talent Acquisition Manager at RKL LLP, Pennsylvania’s largest accounting firm. In this role, Jake oversees recruiting and talent-pipeline strategy across the organization, including an 80-plus-student internship program, international staffing solutions, and recruiting functions across all RKL’s entities.

Outside of work, Jake enjoys spending time with his family, coaching his children in youth sports, and writing and reading whenever he can find a few spare hours. He has developed a passion for storytelling and has published three books since 2022.
