The Secret Paris of the 1930s: Vintage Photographs by Brassaï
Early 20th-century Paris was the setting for one of the greatest flowerings of creative expression in the visual arts. As with painting and sculpture, ambitious young photographers from around the world flocked to between-the-wars Paris. Among them was the Transylvanian-born Brassaï, whose evocative, inky-black, and rare vintage photographs of night-time Paris are assembled from a private collection into this unforgettable exhibition. We will meet in Zimmerman for a brief description of the show and Paris, followed by a tour of the Gallery.
