Not Seeing the Program You Are Looking For?
Elliott Erwitt was an acute observer of the canine world, from the dignity of the ankle-high Chihuahua to the anxiety of the homeless hound, from the smugness of the adored dachshund to the patience of the pom-pommed poodle. His precise, masterful, and yet easygoing compositions are hallmarks of his doggy portraits and well-known images of human subjects that range across a long and successful career. If Erwitt proves anything here, it is the mutual resemblance between dogs and humans in our relationships with these furry fellow travelers.
