CASE Workshop: Active Reading Strategies & AI Use
College reading isn’t just about getting through the pages, it’s about understanding, remembering, and engaging with what you read. This workshop introduces practical strategies to help you become a more active and effective reader, including skimming, scanning, highlighting, annotating, and post-reading reflection.
We’ll also explore how to use AI responsibly as a college student—not as a shortcut, but as a tool to improve comprehension, ask better questions, clarify difficult concepts, and strengthen your thinking. Learn how to combine effective reading strategies with ethical AI use while keeping your own thinking and learning at the center.
You’ll leave with practical strategies you can use immediately in your college courses.
