Supporting the College financially sends a powerful message that the LVC campus community cares about the impactful educational experiences our students need and deserve.
The past and future gifts from our community are an affirmation of our belief in the value of an LVC education. As our students look to us for mentorship, we must also lead the way by promoting philanthropy. We hope that you will join them in raising funds for the Campus Family Campaign. We are always striving for 100 percent participation from our colleagues to show our students how strongly we support them. The size of your gift is not what matters: it is the gift itself. The participation of our campus family is what is most important because the gifts we make together will make a difference.
If you would like to get involved or have any questions about the Campus Family Campaign, please contact Kelsey Bair Gross, director of annual giving, at ext. 6322.
What is the Campus Family Campaign? Why is my involvement important?
It is an opportunity for you and all members of the campus community to support LVC students and staff with a financial gift. This support demonstrates to internal and external constituents that those who currently work at LVC invest in the success of our students and the greater campus community.
What is the goal of the Campus Family Campaign?
Both dollars and participation are important. However, the campaign focuses on participation. There is not a dollar goal. It's important for each faculty and staff member to participate in the campaign with a gift/pledge that works for them.
What is the timeframe of the Campus Family Campaign?
Gifts for this fiscal year are accepted through June 30, 2018.
How can I give?
Gifts may be made in one of the following manners:
- Outright contributions: Give a contribution now with a check or credit card (via Campus Family Campaign form or online.
- Pledges: Make a pledge to be paid by June 30, 2018.
- Payroll Deductions: Payroll deduction is available through the Campus Family Campaign form.
Confidentiality is critical—enclosing your form in an envelope is highly recommended. Donors should direct their completed Campus Family Campaign to Kelsey Bair Gross, director of annual giving. Forms may be sent via inter-campus mail, dropped off in person at Laughlin Hall, or given to a member of the advancement team.
How much should I give?
It's entirely up to you. Philanthropy is a personal and family decision. No gift is too large or too small. In 2013–2014, gifts to The Valley Fund of $100 or less generated more than $64,000 in support of the College. What is most important is that you thoughtfully consider a gift/pledge and become part of the campaign.
May I give to more than one department or fund?
Yes, you may designate multiple recipients of your gift. Examples include, but are not limited to, The Valley Fund, Support of Scholarships, academic departments, and Dutchmen athletic teams. You may indicate specific dollar amounts to each designation, or percentages of your total gift.
What are the levels of giving?

- Contributors: $1–$99
- Quittapahilla Club: $100–$249
- Charter Club: $250–$499
