I earned a Ph.D. in mathematics in graduate school, but have since spent considerable time learning actuarial science and computer science in order to teach courses in those areas. I have earned two actuarial credentials: Associate of Society of Actuaries (ASA) and Chartered Enterprise Risk Analyst (CERA). Beyond LVC, I have been deeply involved in EPaDel—the local chapter of the Mathematical Association of America, serving terms as its webmaster, vice-chair, and chair.
