Microsoft 365 (formerly Office 365) is a suite of cloud-based Microsoft applications that you can access from any device with an Internet connection. LVC uses this dynamic solution for email, document creation and collaboration, and more.
Microsoft 365 Training & Tips
On your Computer
- Download the Outlook app from your device’s app store.
- Open the app and click Get Started.
- Choose your Notification preferences.
- Choose Add Account.
- On the login page, enter your LVC email address and password. It may take about five minutes to begin the synchronization process.
On your Mobile Device
- Open your device settings and click on Passwords & Accounts.
- Choose Microsoft Exchange.
- Enter your LVC email address and choose a description.
- Enter your password.
- Choose Accept, and your account will be created.
- Go to My LVC.
- Click on Office 365.
- Sign in with your LVC credentials if prompted.
- Select Apps on the left-hand side, then choose the app you wish to use.
*Free for every student and employee at LVC. With Office 365, you will have access to the latest version of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, and much more.
- You may install on up to 5 compatible PC and Mac computers, plus 5 tablet devices (including iPad)
- Office 365 includes 1TB of storage from OneDrive and can automatically sync with your mobile devices.
- The Office 365 subscription continues as long as you’re enrolled or employed at LVC.
To download your free Microsoft Office software, follow these simple steps:
Desktop or Laptop Computers:
- Visit here to log in.
- Enter your LVC Credentials (email address and password) to download or use Office 365 online
- On the installation page select your language and click install
Mobile or Tablet Devices:
- Download from your app store
- After completing the installation, sign in with your LVC credentials (email address and password) for full editing capability
Visit here if you have trouble installing Office.
- Log in to Office 365.
- Select Apps on the left-hand side, then choose Outlook.
- Click on the Gear icon in the top right-hand corner.
- Click on Mail on the far-left, then Forwarding in the center list.
- Choose Enable Forwarding and enter the email address where you want campus email to be forwarded.
- Check the box at the bottom to retain a copy of your messages in Office 365.
- Save your new settings.
- Test your settings by sending an email message to your LVC email account. Check the account you are forwarding to, to verify that the message is received.
- You can use OneDrive to store and securely share personal work files. Full-time faculty, staff, and students get 1TB of storage space (part-time employees get 100GB).
- Departments can also create a dedicated SharePoint site for their team.
How to turn the Focused Inbox feature On in Office 365 Outlook (web browser version)
- When logged into Office 365, open the Mail app.
- Click on the Gear icon in the top right corner.
- Choose “Display Settings” (the 2nd option down)
- In the menu across the top, choose “Focused Inbox”.
- Choose “Sort Messages into Focused and Other” and press “OK” at the top to save.
How to turn the Focused Inbox feature On in the Outlook Mobile App (iPhone/iPad)
- When viewing Mail in the Outlook app, click on the menu (three horizontal lines) button at the top left.
- Scroll down to “Focused Inbox”, and use the slider to turn on.

- When viewing Mail in the Outlook app, click on the Gear icon in the top right corner.
- Scroll down to “Focused Inbox”, and use the slider to turn on.
