Purpose and Overview

This Critical Incident and Emergency Management Plan (CIEMP):

  • Informs the campus community, providing clear instructions on responding in a critical incident or emergency
  • Assists in response, guiding the College in effectively managing critical incidents and emergencies to ensure a swift and organized response
  • Clarifies Expectations, outlining what the campus community can expect from campus and external officials during an incident.

This information is also available on the campus portal (MyLVC) and in the Omnilert app.

The free Omnilert app allows employees and students to receive LVC emergency and weather alerts on their phone. All students are automatically enrolled and can add additional contacts, such as family members. Employees are strongly encouraged to enroll.
