Colleges Against Cancer

Gamma Sigma Sigma

Gamma Sigma Sigma National Service Sorority (founded in 1952) was the first national sorority to receive recognition by Lebanon Valley College in 1969 and is the longest standing sorority on campus. The sorority’s purpose is to assemble college and university students in the spirit of service to humanity and to develop friendships among students of all races and creeds. The members of Gamma Sig strive to promote service, friendship, and equality within the chapter, campus, and community by participating in many service projects every semester, promoting lifelong relationships with others, and keeping open hearts and minds with everyone. Gamma Sig is a diverse group of girls that happily accepts members of any background, and loves to expand their membership. Learn more about the sorority and its members by visiting our Snapchat, Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook accounts.

Habitat for Humanity

LVC’s Habitat for Humanity encourages students to participate in volunteer service through unique, inclusive experiences with our local Habitat for Humanity. We volunteer with the Lancaster-Lebanon HFH. Volunteer opportunities include working at HFH Restores, construction sites, and more. Students gain valuable knowledge and life skills while taking part in a very rewarding experience that helps to improve our community as well as the lives of future homeowner families.

Lebanon Valley Educational Partnership (LVEP)

Red Cross Club

Red Cross Club is a branch of the internationally recognized Red Cross. The club serves as a way for us to directly help those in need, whether it be in response to a natural disaster, collecting toiletries for the homeless, or simply hosting a birthday party for a local veteran. While the club’s purpose is to support the Red Cross, it should be noted that the Red Cross supports our members as well. All members are recognized as active, official Red Cross volunteers, and therefore can obtain rewards such as cords for graduation, free first-aid CPR certifications, catered parties, letters of recommendation, and more.

Students Helping Seniors

Students Helping Seniors is a club focused on serving the elderly in the community. As a club, we do crafts, games, and stimulate the minds of residents at senior centers in Annville, Lebanon, and Palmrya, and positively impact the community.

Team FTK

Team FTK is a fundraising community directly united with Four Diamonds, an organization that covers 100 percent of all medical expenses related to pediatric cancer care not covered by insurance for eligible Four Diamonds children. LVC’s chapter hosts several fundraisers throughout the school year to assist the Four Diamonds mission. FTK stands for “For The Kids”; this phrase is used to emphasize the importance of the Four Diamonds community and its quest to conquer childhood cancer because the funds and awareness raised are For The Kids. “By joining Team FTK, you are joining Four Diamonds in our mission to help every child survive and thrive.”
