A bachelor's degree in music with emphasis in music production opens a creative and in-demand career for passionate creatives. Whether you’re interested in sound engineering for the commercial music industry, digital audio or gaming, or the performing arts, learn from experts using the same gear used by the pros.
In our Music Production program, you’ll start mixing and mastering tracks during your first week on campus. From there, you’ll get a complete overview of the profession from faculty who are also professionals. Classes will cover studio recording, sound design, interactive & immersive media, and more.
Learn the technical and creative versatility needed to launch your career as a sound engineer, and gain skills to create and manipulate sound digitally from experts in an NASM-accredited program. Need-based departmental scholarships are available.

Choose a concentration in Audio Engineering, Audio Entrepreneurship, or Audio for Immersive Media. After you learn the fundamentals, you can put them to work in an internship with an industry leader. Make your Music Production degree even more versatile by adding a minor or taking courses in another field.
All students applying to LVC as a music production major MUST complete an audition as part of their application.

From film and video games, to concerts and events, to the recording studio, LVC alums don’t miss a beat. While many have gone on to work with employers such as Disney, Cirque du Soleil, DreamWorks Animation and more, others have started their own businesses, gone to law or business school, or become teachers.
