Activities

Students will participate in:

Ensembles: All students will participate in a primary ensemble such as Concert Band, String Orchestra, Jazz Band, Modern Band, or Choir. Students may also choose to participate in a secondary ensemble if they wish to explore an additional instrument, though this is optional.

All-Camp Choir: In line with the LVC Music Department’s belief that all musicians should be able to vocalize at a basic level, all campers will join the all-camp choir, reinforcing musicianship skills and fostering a well-rounded musical foundation.

Small Group Ensembles: Campers can opt into small group ensembles, working closely with faculty and LVC students in intimate settings to deepen their craft.

Diverse Daily Electives: Campers can personalize their experience with electives such as Modern Band, Handbells, Chamber Music, Intro to Pipe Organ, Jazz Theory, Conducting, Audio & Music Production, and more.

Recreational Activities: Daily recreational opportunities are scheduled, ensuring a well-rounded and engaging camp experience.

Performance Showcase: The week concludes with performances showcasing large ensembles, small group work, and individual talents developed throughout the camp.

Private Lessons (Optional for High School Students Only): See more information below.
