Morgann Davis

Flutist Morgann Davis is the Instructor of Flute at Lebanon Valley College and Millersville University. She is an active teacher, performer, writer, and a certified yoga and mindfulness meditation instructor. Morgann was First Prize and Judges’ Distinction Award Winner in the 2025 American Protegé competition and made her Carnegie Hall Debut in 2026. She was also a 2024  and 2025 Finalist in the Instrumental Soloist Professional Division of The American Prize, a national non-profit competition in the performing arts.

Morgann performs regularly with ensembles including the Reading Symphony, Harrisburg Symphony, Kennett Symphony, Baltimore Chamber Orchestra, Lancaster Symphony, and was previously Principal Flute of the Endless Mountain Music Festival. She operates Davis Flute Studio, an encouraging and inventive environment for learning for beginning students through adults, in Lancaster, PA. Morgann has performed throughout the US with orchestras including the Dubuque Symphony and Madison Symphony, as well as in Europe and Canada on various recital series. She has served on the board of the Flute Society of Greater Philadelphia, has been a member of the National Flute Association’s Membership and Career and Artistic Development committees, and has served as an adjudicator for the NFA’s High School Young Artist competition, among other competitions.

Morgann is passionate about helping musicians explore the mind-body connection to improve their wellbeing and performance, and regularly presents workshops and intensives for flute societies, universities, and summer music programs. She curates The B-List blog and newsletter, where she publishes regularly on musician’s wellness, performance, and life as a working musician.

Morgann holds degrees in music performance from The Ohio State University and the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and did post-graduate study on scholarship in Paris and Southern France.
