
Dr. Susan Weiss is an Assistant Professor in undergraduate education programs with a focus on communication, pragmatics, and autism. She brings 32 years of experience teaching special education in the public school systems of New York and Pennsylvania. Her certifications include speech therapy, teacher of the deaf, and special education. Her research interests encompass the effects of exercise on the learning outcomes of autistic students, social and emotional learning, the lived experiences of individuals with autism, and strategies for teacher candidates to effectively support parents with children with disabilities.
