Interdisciplinary educator, international service-learning advocate, and the program’s inaugural chair, Dr. Michelle Scesa has led LVC’s Speech-Language Pathology program to become a regional powerhouse with most graduating classes achieving a 100% pass rate on the national Praxis Exam and a 100% full-time job offer rate for those seeking employment. She created a collaborative culture through having her faculty colleagues and students partner with the College’s Education and Physical Therapy programs.

Dr. Scesa is a recognized SLP expert who has spoken, presented, or had her work accepted at national professional conferences throughout the U.S., from New Orleans to San Diego. She remains a lifelong learning, earning continuing education knowledge in California, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Texas, Oregon and elsewhere so Valley SLP majors are taught the best skills to become expert and sought-after practitioners.
