PC with Windows

When buying a new Windows computer, you should purchase one with Windows 11 to simplify connecting to resources on the campus network. The College mostly purchases Windows desktops and notebooks from Dell. For recommended systems at special LVC discounts, visit the Dell website or the Lenovo website.

Macintosh with OS X

Apple offers iMac all-in-one desktops and MacBook notebooks. All Macs come with OS X, an operating system that includes sophisticated networking and video editing capabilities. Visit Apple’s Custom Store for LVC.

Microsoft Office 365

Provided at no cost to every student and full-time employee at LVC. With Office 365, you will have access to the latest version of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, and more.

• You may install on up to 5 compatible PC and Mac computers, plus 5 tablet devices (including iPad)
• Office 365 includes 1TB of storage from OneDrive and can automatically sync with your mobile devices
• The Office 365 subscription continues as long as you’re enrolled or employed at LVC.

To download your free Microsoft Office software, follow these steps:

Desktop or Laptop Computers:

1. Log in to Office 365.
2. Click on “Apps” on the left-hand navigation menu
3. Click the “Install Apps” button in the top right corner, and choose what you’d like to download

Mobile or Tablet Devices:

1. Download the desired app from your app store
2. After completing the installation, sign in with your LVC credentials (email address and password) for full editing capability

Adobe Express

The College now offers Adobe Express at no cost to all students and to full-time faculty and staff upon request. Adobe Express is a versatile cloud-based design platform that allows you to easily create videos, PDFs, web pages, graphics, and other digital assets. Whether you are using a tablet, mobile device, or computer, you can access this powerful tool and bring your creative ideas to life. Plus, Adobe Express includes helpful in-app training tutorials to assist you in mastering your designs. We encourage you to take advantage of this benefit and explore all that Adobe Express has to offer.

Get started on your creative projects today by visiting www.adobe.com.  Click on the “Sign In” button.  Choose the “More sign-in options” link at the bottom, and then “Continue with Microsoft”.  This may log you in immediately, or you may need to provide your LVC email and password.

Verizon and AT&T Customers now receive a discount (up to 18%, depending on carrier) off their monthly bill just for being employed by LVC.
