Pathways Program

Get an early start on college life!

Selected students are invited to participate in Lebanon Valley College’s Virtual Summer Pathways Program—an opportunity to get a head start on their college journey, at absolutely no cost to them.

As a participant in Pathways, students will connect with a “Pathways coach” as they cultivate the skills necessary to become academically successful on the college level and explore the possibilities involved with various majors or occupations.

Students who successfully complete this summer program will be eligible for one free course at LVC during the winter term or summer term after their first year.

Please note that this program is invitation-only. Eligible students will have a Summer Pathways form available in their student portal to complete and submit.

You will get to know key people who will help you in your LVC journey as well as other Pathways students. Through video chats, virtual activities, and online investigations, you will learn more about college life, get a jump start on becoming a successful college student, and learn more about majors at LVC so you can be sure you have selected a major that is a good match for your passions and talents.

  • Learn about college life before the rest of your new LVC classmates.
  • Make friends before your fall semester begins.
  • Learn how to manage the requirements and expectations that lead to a successful college experience.
  • Establish relationships with LVC staff and administrators who can serve as mentors throughout your college years and beyond.
  • Earn the opportunity to take a free LVC course during the January Term or during the summer after your first year.

Invited students need to submit their enrollment deposit, then complete the Summer Pathways application in their student portal.

In Their Words

Having the opportunity to participate in a college program before the start of classes enabled me to get into a routine ahead of schedule.

Really talking to my coach was very helpful to me. She made me see that I am much more capable than I think. I am very grateful for all the things she said to help me gain confidence in myself.

The most helpful aspects were getting to learn more about what benefits me. I have learned through this program how to succeed in college and not fall behind. I also really thought the section about reading a syllabus was very helpful.
