Sara O’Shea, M.S, earned a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from Slippery Rock University in 2017 and a Master of Science in Clinical Exercise Physiology from the University of Delaware in 2019. Following her undergraduate studies, she worked as an Exercise Technician at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Towson before pursuing graduate education and advanced clinical training.

She is an American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) Certified Clinical Exercise Physiologist and currently works full-time in Heart and Vascular Rehabilitation at Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health. Since joining Lebanon Valley College as an adjunct instructor in 2021, she has taught within the undergraduate Exercise Science Program and began teaching graduate courses in the Clinical Exercise Physiology Program in 2022. Her clinical expertise and patient-centered approach bring valuable real-world perspectives to the classroom.

Why I teach: I have a passion for my patient’s and helping them to progress, learn, and improve quality of life. Through teaching I hope to inspire and help students to grow and learn so that they can shape the future of Clinical Exercise Physiology and provide quality care to their patients. I love passing on what I do every day to students entering the field and hope that my experience helps them to better understand and appreciate what we can do as Exercise Physiologists.
