Cheryl Smith
Clinical Assistant Professor of Speech-Language Pathology

Before joining LVC, Cheryl Smith practiced as an SLP for almost 20 years across various settings, including hospitals, home health care, outpatient clinics, and public schools. Her service included the supervision of numerous SLP graduate students. She continues to practice at a local acute rehabilitation hospital.
Professor Smith is the Medical Externship Placement Coordinator and a Clinical Supervisor in LVC’s free, on-campus Center for Speech, Language, and Hearing Disorders. She also advises the College’s chapter of the American Sign Language Club. She has supervised student research in aphasia treatment techniques, right hemisphere brain disorders, and Huntington’s disease.
