LVC Youth Musical Theater
The Community Music Institute is excited to once again offer the Lebanon Valley College Youth Musical Theater program. This year’s production will be Space Pirates: A New Children’s Musical, with book, music, and lyrics by Denver Casado, Betina Hershey, and Gwynne Watkins.
This program is catered towards students grades 3-6 and provides a comprehensive introduction to the world of musical theatre, focusing on the fundamentals of singing, acting, and dancing. We aim to foster a love for the performing arts, while helping students grow in a supportive and creative environment.
The musical will be directed by LVC student Carter Palmer, a senior majoring in Music Education and Vocal Performance with a minor in Musical Theatre. He has participated in over 20 productions throughout his educational journey.
A bus will be provided to transport students from Annville Elementary to Lebanon Valley College for rehearsals. Please indicate your student’s need for transportation on the registration form.
Rehearsals will take place on Wednesdays from 4–5:30 p.m., as well as on two Saturdays—September 27 and October 18—from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. There will also be a final rehearsal starting at 9 a.m. on November 22, leading up to the show.

The Fall 2025 LVC Youth Musical Theater program begins Wednesday, Sept. 10, from 4–5:30p.m.*
*The registration cost for the LVC Youth Musical is $50 for the semester. After submitting registration, invoices are to be paid in full within 30 days after billing. The director, Mr. Carter Palmer, will reach out about details for the first rehearsal on Wednesday, Sept. 10.
