B.S., East Carolina University; M.S., Virginia Commonwealth University, CRC

Passionate about education and helping others, Erin worked as a preschool teacher, then as the preschool’s director while she was in graduate school. After earning an M.S. in rehabilitation counseling, the next step in her career was at the Pennsylvania Office of Vocational Rehabilitation, where she assisted individuals with disabilities in finding employment. Most of her clients during that time were students transitioning from high school to higher education or the workforce.

Erin hoped that she could use her skills in the world of higher education. When the opportunity to join LVC in 2018 came along, she felt “it was a dream come true.” Erin brings a wealth of experience and expertise to her role as director of the Center for Accessibility Resources (CAR).

Erin’s favorite parts of the position are getting to know students on a personal level, helping them find their strengths, and witnessing their successes. While she is an ally and advocates for LVC students with disabilities, she describes success in her department as a student finding their voice and advocating for themselves. She also feels fortunate to work closely with a staff dedicated to ensuring students have the resources and support they need to thrive.

In 2017, Erin was recognized for her work in rehabilitation counseling with the Pennsylvania Rehabilitation Association’s PRA Philadelphia Founders Award, which recognizes an individual for outstanding community leadership and supports impactful activities that contribute to the rehabilitation of ‘a considerable number’ of Pennsylvanians.

Outside of her work at LVC, Erin enjoys dance and was originally a dance major in college. She uses that skill to teach young children ballet, jazz, and tap. Erin also enjoys spending quality time with her family. She and her husband have a daughter, three dogs, and two cats. She loves going to the beach and attending Phillies games and has a special place in her heart for all things Disney.
