Brynn Mason M’22

Director of the Breen Center for Career and Professional Development

A.A. Ed., Lehigh Carbon Community College; B.A., East Stroudsburg University; M.A., Marywood University; M.B.A., Lebanon Valley College

As the first member of her family to attend college, Brynn decided to test the waters of higher education by pursuing an associate degree in education. She gained the degree and the confidence to further her education with a B.A. in English. Through a student teaching assignment in a high school setting that made her realize she wasn’t quite on the right path, Brynn redirected her goals to counseling. Once she earned a master’s degree in psychology, she helped residents at a detention center with reintegration and career counseling. She provided outpatient mental health services to children in the foster care system. Using her unique insight as a first-generation student, the next step in her counseling career path came closer to higher education by supporting and assisting low-income, first-generation high school students with the college application and registration process. Brynn came to LVC in 2016 as a career coach in the Breen Center for Career and Professional Development, advancing soon after to director. During that time, she earned an MBA from LVC and was appointed to the Lebanon Valley Chamber of Commerce’s board of directors.

Brynn loves her work with LVC students, whom she says are “fantastic.” Overall, she feels her life’s purpose is to help people by giving them the tools they need to guide them on their life journey and reach their career goals, regardless of the path that brought them to her office. The most fulfilling part of her work is hearing from students after they receive a job offer.

Brynn enjoys spending time with her family, volunteering, hiking, and reading in her free time.
