Intersections of Academics and Art

Housed in a former church in the gothic-revival style, the Suzanne H. Arnold Art Gallery hosts five to six exhibitions a year, with loans from major national and regional art museums, galleries, and collectors. Exhibitions are made possible by The Friends of the Gallery, the Gallery’s membership group, as well as other generous sponsors.

Gallery Semester Hours

Wednesday: 5–8 p.m.
Thursday–Friday: 1–4:30 p.m.
Saturday–Sunday: 11 a.m.–5 p.m.
By appointment for tour groups. (Please contact the Gallery at 717-867-6445 or gallery@lvc.edu to arrange a private Gallery talk for your school or organization. Admission is free.)
Extended Gallery Hours: The Gallery may remain open beyond regular hours for lectures and events. On event days, the Gallery will remain open through the event and may have extended hours.

The Agrarian Year: Paintings and Drawings of the Lebanon Valley by Michael Allen

The Agrarian Year features work by Central Pennsylvania artist Michael Allen. For the past 12 years Allen has painted the southern Lebanon County landscape highlighting, not only the relationship between nature and development in his surrounding rural community, but also the seasonal variations of that relationship. Allen’s paintings and drawings, executed en plein air and in the studio, become a visual interpretation of the growing, harvesting, and dormant seasons of the agricultural year.
