London, England

Program in Brief
This fall semester program offers students in any major the chance to complete certain LVC major/minor, general education, and elective requirements in a suburb of the world's most livable large cities. You will attend Kingston University with British natives and other multinational students enrolled in a wide range of stimulating and flexible courses.

There is a mandatory set of pre-departure orientations at LVC for all students planning to participate in the program. Students attend an on-site orientation in London.

Kingston University is located in Kingston-upon-Thames, an attractive riverside town in south-west London.  Kingston is surrounded by beautiful countryside with a rich heritage, and is only 25 minutes by train from central London.  The town has plenty of shops and a wide range of restaurants and cafes.

Housing and Meals
Students will live in on-campus residence halls that will encourage assimilation with the high number of international and domestic students enrolled at the university.  The residence halls provide single room living for students in a shared flat with 2 - 9 other students.  Student will purchase and prepare their own food in the flat's shared kitchen facilities.  Meals can also be purchased in campus cafes, but no meal plan will be provided.

This program allows students to receive transfer credits in their major or minor, while also fulfilling LVC general education requirements.   A sample of available course offerings can be provided by the Study Abroad Office.  Kingston University also offers a course specifically designed for study abroad students titled "British Life and Culture."  Lectures are given on various aspects of British life, culture and histor followed by excursions to places of special interest including Oxford, Bath, Stonehenge, the National Theatre, the Globe Theatre and Parliament.
