Lebanon Valley College has a strong tradition in the arts. With numerous performing and visual arts spaces on campus, students can share their talents with the community through student organizations, classes, and ensembles.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

American Choral Directors Association<\/h4>\n

The Lebanon Valley College Student Chapter of the American Choral Directors Associations is for anyone interested in choral music and choral conducting. ACDA provides opportunities such as conducting workshops and clinicians, participation in choir events at LVC, and gaining conducting experience, as well as other relevant events, to any student interested in choral music.<\/p>\n

Audio Engineering Society<\/h4>\n

This student-run organization is for anyone interested in audio engineering, live sound, etc. The group sponsors software and equipment demonstrations, visits by guest professionals, and provides live sound reinforcement for VALE Records and other events on campus.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Lebanon Valley College Guild of Organists, Student Chapter<\/h4>\n

The Guild Student Chapter is the campus chapter of the American Guild of Organists. Members attend recitals by nationally-known organists, perform in campus recitals, and discuss issues which pertain to church organists.<\/p>\n

NAfME<\/h4>\n

The Lebanon Valley College chapter of the National Association for Music Education (NAfME) offers workshops and resources to students majoring in music education in order to provide opportunities for professional development. Membership is open to any student majoring in music education.<\/p>\n

Pride of The Valley<\/h4>\n

Under the direction of Dr. Christopher J. Heffner, Lebanon Valley College’s marching band<\/a> performs at all home football games as well as appearances at various exhibitions throughout the fall semester.<\/p>\n

Sigma Alpha Iota<\/h4>\n

Sigma Alpha Iota, a nationally recognized professional women’s music fraternity, strives to further the cause of music through the development of talent. The Delta Alpha chapter, established at the college in 1961, admits women with a 2.5 or higher grade point average and a strong interest in music. SAI sisters perform concerts throughout the academic year on campus and within the community. Each spring, SAI presents its annual Marcia Pickwell recital, a diverse public recital for the campus community.<\/p>\n

VALE Music Group<\/h4>\n

VALE Music Group<\/a>\u00a0provides and produces music-related events, experiences, and opportunities for the Lebanon Valley College community. Honoring LVC’s legacy of student-run organizations, Vale strives to assist student-based ideas, performances, and projects.<\/p>\n

The Wig and Buckle Theater Company<\/h4>\n

The Wig and Buckle Theater Company<\/a> produces two to three productions each year\u2014a combination of plays and musicals. Each production is student-directed and entirely student-run. Wig and Buckle also sponsors trips to area theaters and workshops for members. Membership is open to all students interested in any aspect of dramatics and theater production, including hair and makeup, costuming, set building, light and sound directing, and performing.<\/p>\n\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/section>\n\n\n\n

\n Music Ensembles<\/span>\n <\/h2>\n

Students interested in learning more about music ensembles are encouraged to visit the Music Department in the Bertha Brossman Blair Music Center.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
