Founded in 1935, the Wig and Buckle Theater Company is proud of its tradition of providing quality live theater produced and performed by students for the LVC campus and the central Pennsylvania community.<\/p>\n

The oldest continually operational student organization on campus, Wig and Buckle annually produces three to four shows a year. Wig and Buckle also serves as the resident theater company for the\u00a0LVC English Department\u2019s Theater Concentration, playing a vital co-curricular role in the training\u00a0and application of students\u2019 theater skills.<\/p>\n

Wig and Buckle is open to all LVC students and meets every Friday at 4 p.m. in Leedy Theater.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/section>\n\n\n\n

The Importance of Being Earnest<\/em>\u00a0by Oscar Wilde is one of his most timeless works.This \u201ctrivial comedy for serious people\u201d features two carefree bachelors, Jack and Algernon, each with a carefully hidden double life. But when Algernon discovers that Jack has been posing as a man named Ernest to escape to the city, he promptly travels to Jack\u2019s country estate to pose as the fictional figure himself! Hilariity ensues with whimsical ing\u00e9nues, jealous fianc\u00e9es, indomitable dowagers, and the most famous handbag in theatre history.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n
