Phase 1

  • The Underground: This space will be renovated as a Multi-Purpose Room that accommodates the nightclub and activities that now take place in the existing Program Room adjacent to the current Commuter Lounge and elevator. These renovations include raising the dance floor to the same level as the seating area, improving lighting for program and nightclub use, converting the former kitchen into a utility and office area, and enhancing the stage lighting and sound system. The Multi-Purpose Room is projected to be available for use by March 22.
  • Commuter Lounge, Mund Technology, and Studio/Rehearsal/Classroom Space: In early March, work will begin to convert the former College Store area into three spaces: a new Commuter Lounge, the Mund Technology Center, and new Studio/Rehearsal/Classroom Space. Work will also begin on the construction of new restrooms directly across the hallway. Projected completion of The Commuter Lounge and new restrooms will be the week of March 31. The Mund Technology Center will move from its current location in May and will feature new technology and furniture. The availability of the new Studio/Rehearsal/Classroom space used by Wig & Buckle and other groups will be determined later this summer, but no later than August.
