COVID-19 vaccines are available to all groups in PA. Review the fall 2021 return to campus protocols and let LVC know when you are fully vaccinated.

Lebanon Valley College Electronic Media and Publishing Policy

Content providers who supply Lebanon Valley College (LVC) with electronic media and material for publication, or who publish material on LVC’s behalf, are required by mutually signed agreement to assign or license their rights to use the material to the institution. (Content providers include but are not limited to consulting agencies, printers, and freelance writers, photographers, videographers, or designers. See language to include in agreements below.)

Content providers are required by agreement to indemnify the institution in the event an intellectual property infringement claim is made against them based on the material provided.

All electronic media and publications disseminated by LVC staff, faculty, or students via LVC-owned media/publishing channels or by a content provider publishing on behalf of LVC must adhere to copyright and trademark laws. 

If electronic media or publications include copyrighted or trademarked property, then necessary intellectual property rights must be acquired through releases, licenses, or consents reviewed by LVC’s Division of Marketing & Communications, which will seek approval from an LVC-designated attorney.

All electronic media and publications disseminated by LVC must comply with FERPA and HIPAA privacy laws.

All LVC employees must verify the FERPA status of a student before including FERPA-covered information in electronic media or publications.

LVC must obtain written consent from the parent or guardian before using the likeness of any non-enrolled person under the age of 18 in electronic media or publications. Releases should be obtained from LVC’s Division of Marketing & Communications. 

 

LANGUAGE TO INCLUDE IN AGREEMENTS

Content provider agrees to grant LVC non-exclusive rights for placement indefinitely electronic media and other publishing channels.

Content provider indemnifies LVC in the event an intellectual property infringement claim is made based on the material provided.

Content provider must receive written or verbal approval from an authorized LVC representative before disseminating any content on behalf of LVC.
