In Their Words

The LVC Sociology Program deepened my understanding of the social forces that shape the world by introducing me to new theoretical paradigms and methodological approaches. The professors equipped me with the resources needed to become a well-rounded thinker through one-on-one attention, group projects, classroom discussions, and opportunities to conduct research.
Aleah Hoffman ’25, Sociology and English
My experiences in the Sociology Program were great. Some of my favorite came from the opportunities to apply my in-class learning in real-world scenarios.
Gavin Strauss ’22, Sociology
All of my professors in sociology were very influential in helping me learn about the culture of serving. They were knowledgeable and supportive. I learned how to best serve others. We can’t always just take what we can, but we also have to give what we can.
