Lindsey Porter teaching LVC accounting class

Accounting

Every business, from the smallest start-up to the biggest multinational conglomerate, relies on accounting. Accountants do more than track an organization’s finances—they also give leaders the confidence to see into the future.

Is it a good time to hire another worker? Sell a new product? Add another location? Accounting provides the key for businesses to make smart decisions. With an LVC accounting degree, you’ll be the one they turn to.

Need-based departmental scholarships are available and are renewable for up to four years.

Learn More About the Program

Your classes in management, finance, business law, and ethics, as well as accounting, will give you insight into all aspects of how an organization operates. As a student in our accounting program, accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP), you’ll build impressive analytical skills. Add a second major to match your interests. Later, come back to LVC for an MBA or certificate to build your knowledge base and get ahead.

Big Four Internships

LVC’s Accounting Night brings companies to campus for networking and job interviews, including with representatives from the “Big Four”—Deloitte, Ernst & Young, KPMG, and PwC. Many of our students start with internships and move on to job offers.

Professors in-the-Know

Many LVC professors work as certified public accountants (CPAs) and bring real-world examples into the classroom. They will connect you with companies hiring the best new talent.

Take the Lead

Join Phi Beta Lambda, our chapter of the Future Business Leaders of America, to gain networking opportunities and build must-learn skills, such as interviewing and business etiquette. You can even take part in national competitions, where LVC students regularly shine.

In Their Words

Your courses will by no means be easy, but if you do the work, the reward is extraordinary. Many of my peers have found work connections because of their LVC professors.
