ACT 45 Course 5:
Strategic Management: Creating a Student Centered Organizational Strategy

Lebanon Valley College will offer Act 45 Continuing Ed. Course 5, Strategic Management: Creating a Student Centered Organizational Strategy in winter 2013 for school system leaders (Superintendents, IU Directors, Principals, and Assistant Principals). The course will provide:

  • 30 ACT 45 hours
  • 1.5 MBA credits towards a MBA degree with a concentration in School Leadership
  • Course Description:

    This purpose of this course is to examine how organizations determine, execute, and manage successful strategy and explore how these concepts can be applied to school systems in order to create sustainable, high performing, student-centered institutions. This will include the use of the Baldrige Education Criteria for Performance Excellence, a strategic management framework, which will assist school leaders in the development of a student centered strategy. Course 6, Data Driven Decision Making will be offered in fall of 2013 and will serve as a companion course in order further develop the strategic management framework.
