Each year International Day of Peace is celebrated around the world on September 21. The General Assembly of the United Nations declared this as a day devoted to strengthening the ideals of peace, both within and among all nations and peoples. It is a day that we can reflect and promote peaceful and inclusive societies for sustainable development.

This year you have an opportunity to participate! From 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Miller Chapel Lobby will be available to reflect on various forms of conflict around the world through picture and video. Notecards will be provided for participants to write a prayer or reflection that will be included in a display of peace on the academic quad. There will be a short kickoff to the event at 11 a.m. but participants are encouraged to stop by at any point as they are available throughout the day.
