Work on your FAFSA while staff from our Financial Aid Office is available to answer your questions. Computers will be available for use or you can download the MyStudentAid app and file using your smartphone. Email finaid@lvc.edu to RSVP for the FAFSA session. If you plan to attend our FAFSA session, you will need to bring: 

  • Student and parents’ social security numbers
  • Student driver’s license number (optional)
  • Student alien registration number, if not a U.S. citizen
  • Student and parents’ 2018 W-2 form(s)
  • Student and parents’ 2018 federal income tax return (1040 form)
  • Records of other untaxed income received, including workers’ compensation, child support, payments to tax-deferred pension, and savings plans, etc.
  • Student and parents’ current bank statements and records of stocks, bonds, and other investments
  • Federal Student Aid (FSA) ID – the FSA ID is a username and password that the student will use to log into certain USDE websites, and sign the FAFSA electronically. Students interested in receiving federal student aid should create a FSA ID at fsaid.ed.gov. The student and parent will need separate FSA IDs to electronically sign the FAFSA.

If you complete your FAFSA online, you have the option of retrieving student and parent income and tax data from the IRS and having it transferred automatically to your FAFSA.
