Learn how you can get involved in chemistry research from the very start.
LVC’s Research First Program welcomes incoming freshmen with the opportunity to conduct one-on-one PAID research with a professor and/or student-faculty research teams the summer before they start at The Valley. Research First grants are available in biology, bio-chemistry & molecular biology, chemistry, environmental science, neuroscience, or physics.
“Students can see their project mature and will have additional chances to present research at a conference,” said Dr. Marc Harris. “Students may also have opportunities to be a co-author on a publication—a tradition that dates to the 1940s at LVC.”
