Accelerate Your Career as a CPA. Open More Doors with an MBA

With courses in management, finance, and business law, our accelerated Accounting B.S./MBA Program will prepare you to become a skilled thinker, communicator, and business leader wherever you land. And, our specialized program offers you great flexibility and opportunities to earn money during paid internships or full-time after your third year when you can take night and online course while working full-time.

In just three years, you’ll earn an accounting B.S. that puts you on track for the MBA after year four. Gain work experience through an internship or volunteer opportunity and step right into the workplace at a public accounting firm, hedge fund, or small business. You’ll be prepared to work in the real world and earn a real salary before others in your cohort have received acceptance into an MBA Program.

In your fourth year, deepen your expertise in the field with our master’s degree in business administration. You’ll build professional skills like decision-making, negotiating, and strategic thinking on your way to an MBA accounting degree—and earn enough credits to qualify for licensure as a Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant.

Discover Your Degree Pathway

• Apply to our Accounting/MBA 3+1 program as a first-year undergraduate student.

• Master your degree requirements, from auditing to forensic accounting.

• Develop expertise with our MBA concentration in accounting, while you get a head-start on your career.

• Earn 150 credits on your way to becoming a Certified Public Accountant, as well as an MBA that opens even more professional doors.

Hands-on Experience Leads to Job Offers

Whether you want a college degree in accounting to work for a major accounting firm, hedge fund, or small business, our graduates regularly receive internships that lead directly to job offers from major employers.

Our annual Accounting Night features more than 25 employers, including KPMG, Park Associates, Volvo, Fulton Financial Associates, and the Pennsylvania Department of Revenue. These regional and national employers need well-prepared students like you to hit the ground running.

Want to explore fields related to accounting? Employers know your college degree in accounting will help you succeed in areas like business administrationeconomics, and finance, too.

Attract Major Employers with a Background in Business

Earn an accounting B.S. in just three years and be miles ahead of other undergraduates in your cohort who have to wait to apply for an MBA. With a bachelor’s degree in hand, you can begin working immediately and earn the professional experience you need to accelerate your career in accounting.

To qualify for the Certified Public Accountant license, you’ll need to earn 150 credits. Instead of taking a second major or additional courses at the undergraduate level, earn a master’s degree in business administration that makes you even more attractive to corporate leaders.

While all accounting majors know the ins and outs of taxes and financial bookkeeping, they don’t always have the strong background in business, management, and finance that attracts major employers. As a graduate of the Accounting B.S. and MBA Program, you’ll have a unique depth of experience, as well as the leadership skills employers value.

LVC’s MBA in Accounting Program is designed with working professionals in mind. Even if you jump right from an internship into your first job at an accounting firm, you’ll have the flexibility you need to earn an MBA along the way to your CPA licensure.

Our MBA Accounting Program Accreditation Says It All

We offer one of the few MBA accounting programs in Pennsylvania supported by a distinguished liberal arts institution with a long tradition of interdisciplinary study. Our accreditation from the Accreditation Council for Business School and Programs (ACBSP) ensures that you receive a quality education taught by experts in the field of business.

Through team-building projects, mock negotiations, and real-world case studies, you’ll develop the leadership and management skills that attract the attention of the “Big Four” accounting firms. Learn to communicate effectively, act ethically, analyze information, and make informed decisions as you lead your team to new heights.

What Makes the Accounting B.S. and MBA Program at LVC Special?

• Learn from real-world experts on our faculty, as well as from speakers at our annual Business Symposium, and visiting professionals and successful alumni from various fields.
