Sport Performance Graduate Assistant

The Graduate Assistant (GA) in Sport Performance will support LVC's Strength and Conditioning program by assisting with supervision, set-up, and coaching of assigned student-athletes and communication with head sport coaches and athletic training staff as needed to address individual student-athlete needs.

Applicants must hold an undergraduate/graduate degree with a minimum 3.0 CGPA in exercise science or related field and be fully accepted in the M.S. in Sport Performance program. Selection preference will be given to individuals holding either CSCCa-SCCC and/or NSCA-CSCS certifications and prior S&C experience.

Start and end dates for accepting applications:

  • Start – July 1 for fall position; December 1 for spring position; April 1 for summer, as applicable.
  • End – First day of each semester

Interviews will be coordinated with LVC's head strength coach, program faculty, and applicants. The accepted GA will be notified approximately 2 weeks prior to the start of the semester.  

Anticipated number of hours/week: Maximum of 20 hours/wk.

Clinical Exercise Physiology Graduate Assistant

The Graduate Assistant (GA) in Clinical Exercise Physiology will support LVC's undergraduate Exercise Science program through activities such as tutoring, Open Lab supervision and/or lab course instruction, skills checks and/or practical exam administration with assigned course faculty, and/or Ex Phys Exam Certification Preparation. All activities require access to the campus.

Applicants must hold an undergraduate/graduate degree with a minimum 3.0 CGPA in exercise science or related field and be fully accepted in the M.S. in Clinical Exercise Physiology program. Selection preference will be given to individuals holding ACSM EP-C or equivalent certifications.

Applications for the Graduate Assistant position are accepted through July 1.

Interviews will be coordinated with the program director and applicants. The accepted GA will be notified approximately 4 weeks prior to the start of the fall semester.  

Anticipated number of hours/week: Maximum of 20 hours/wk.
