Naming Opportunities
Many alumni and friends of LVC can make gifts that are
important to them and have their name, or the name of loved ones, put in
designated public spaces. In so doing,
donors receive permanent recognition for their support and they help the
college address its most important needs.
Naming opportunities at LVC are extensive and include: academic programs, building projects, endowed positions, athletics, and
scholarships.
Examples of a few naming
opportunities include:
Field Hockey Stadium:
with seating for 250 fans and grass
berms surrounding the field that can hold hundreds more, the LVC Field Hockey
Stadium has given the Dutchmen a remarkable home-field advantage since its
debut in 2001. Gift Amount: $100,000.
Student Faculty
Research Lab in the Neidig-Garber Science Center: each student/faculty research laboratory
is adjacent to a faculty member’s office.
This arrangement moves research out of the traditional teaching labs and
into dedicated areas where research students and their faculty mentors will
remain in close communication. Gift
Amount: $25,000
Annual Scholarships: an opportunity to create a scholarship in lieu
of a fully endowed scholarship. An
annual scholarship is not invested in the endowment, but is applied directly
and completely to a student’s financial aid package. Gift Amount: $10,000 (or $2,000 pledged annually for five years).
Campus Arboretum: donors
can honor or memorialize their loved ones by planting a tree in the campus
arboretum. Trees can be chosen by the donor in conjunction with the coordinator of the
arboretum at LVC. The gift will cover
the cost of the plant, a bronze tribute plaque, as well as continued care and
maintenance of the tree. Gift Amount:
$1,500.
