Summer Scholars: Actuarial Science
Our actuarial science summer camp is a week-long intensive program for rising high school seniors designed to help them decide if they’re interested in actuarial work. In 2016 we're offering two sections of the camp, one from June 26 to July 1 and another from July 10 to July 15. We'll begin accepting applications on January 15.
LVC has had a successful actuarial science program
for more than 40 years, and we’ve run this summer camp for more than two decades. Leveraging industry connections and alumni suggestions, we’ve forged an authentic experience that features interaction with working actuaries and an introduction to relevant software and content.
During the week students live on campus in a dormitory with Resident Assistants who are current LVC students. They eat their meals at Mund Student Center and have access to college facilities, including the gym and pool. The camp fee is $900* and it covers all camp-related expenses including room, board, and access to campus facilities.
