Graduates of the sociology program work in business, government, social service, journalism, politics, and public relations. Recent LVC sociology graduates are working for companies and organizations such as Philhaven, Hempfield Behavioral Health, U.S. Department of State's Foreign Service Institute, and the Area Agency on Aging. They work in positions such as psychiatric assistant, group supervisor and drug counselor, among others.
Criminal justice graduates find jobs in law enforcement, probation and parole, victims assistance programs, and other criminal justice support systems. Recent criminal justice graduates are employed as public services officers, security guards, and policemen for firms like the Lebanon County District Attorney's Office, Detective Bureau and Juvenile Probation, Penn State University, Lancaster County Prothonotary's Office, and Securitas.
