What to Bring
Welcome to Lebanon Valley College! Going away to college can be an
exciting experience for most students. However, many questions come to
mind as you prepare for your "home away from home."
Because most new students have questions about what to bring with
them, the Student Affairs Office has composed a list of items that might
make it easier when you begin to pack for college. This list is a
careful collaboration of ideas that cover all bases - from necessities
to leisure items. Obviously, you cannot bring everything on the list,
but these suggestions might be of help to you.
A to Z Housing Suggestions (Items in Italics are provided by Residential Life)
- Alarm Clock
- Bed Sheets: Twin XL
- Closet, Cleaning Supplies
- Desk, Desk Chair, Dresser
- Extension Cords (UL approved, 12 + gauge), Eating Utensils/Dishes,
- Food Storage Containers, Flashlight, Fan
- Garbage Can
- Health Care/Hygiene Items, Hangers
- Internet: All LVC buildings and grounds operate on a wireless network
- Jump Drive: For your music and school work
- Kitchen utensils/dishes
- Laundry Detergent: Coinless High Efficiency washers provided in each building (HE detergent only)
- Microwave (One per room, please)
- Notebook: Computer or writing pad
- Office/School Supplies
- Posters & Pictures (Please bring Sticky Tac to hang pictures on the walls - no tape or nails, please!)
- Questions: Ask your RA questions big and small!
- Rugs, Refrigerator (Max 4.5 Cubic Feet)
- Shower Shoes/Flip Flops, Shower Caddy & Towels, Surge Protectors for electronics
- TV/DVD Player: Every room has Cable Access jack (cable needed)
- Umbrella & Rain Boots
- Vacuums: Available in each residence hall for shared student use
