Student Awards


Alyssa Nissley (Religion '15) was awarded the "First Year Student Leader of the Year 2012" as a part of the Student Services Awards for the 11-12 academic year. This award recognizes Alyssa's role as a student leader in her first year as a student at LVC.

Mike Ardoline (Physics and Philosophy '10) was awarded best paper honors at the Raritan Valley Community College Philosophy Conference, in Fall 2009 for his paper "Multiple World's Theodicy," which was developed from a paper he wrote while enrolled in Encountering World Religions. 

Carissa Devine (Religion and Philosophy '09) was awarded the prestigious Fulbright Scholarship for the 2010-1011 academic year. The Fulbright Scholar Program is administered by the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, a division of the United States State Department. Carissa worked with scholars at Pondicherry University in Tamil Nadu, India in her study of the utopian commune established on the ideals of the early 20th century Indian reformer Sri Aurobindo.
