Letter to the LVC Community

Dear Members of the Lebanon Valley College Community --

This past weekend, the Presidential Search Committee interviewed seven Presidential semi-finalists, who were selected from more than 80 applicants for the position of President of Lebanon Valley College. Based on those interviews, the Committee selected three finalists.

LVC is now ready to enter the final phase of this important process. The three finalists will visit Lebanon Valley College’s campus to meet members of the LVC Community. Each candidate has already studied LVC, but this visit will provide additional opportunities for candidates to learn about our aspirations for the future. Campus visits will afford members of the LVC community the opportunity to hear more about the qualifications and qualities that each candidate offers as LVC’s next President.

Campus Visits
Two day visits for each finalist are being scheduled during the week of December 5. In an effort to maintain confidentiality, the candidates’ names and biographies will be available on-line beginning December 2.

While on campus, each finalist will meet with various campus constituencies in small group meetings. There will also be a campus wide public forum that all are invited to attend. Each meeting will include opening remarks by the candidate and informal question-and-answer sessions.

The dates & times for these meetings will vary during the week of December 5 based on the candidates’ availability and the campus schedule. Details as to time and location of the meetings will be announced as schedules are confirmed. We will request online feedback from those who have the opportunity to meet with the finalists. This will help ensure that the Board of Trustees has all available input before the final determination is made.
